Core Values for Student Ministry
We desire to be clear and informative to what we hold as essential in youth ministry. Therefore we want to give the 5 basic core values for our student ministry.
-
We believe that God has provided parents as the primary means of raising teenagers. Therefore all of our parents will receive respect, the truth, and encouragement. We hope to assist the parents in raising great teenagers into even better young men and women.
-
We believe that the best guidebook for life is the Bible. We believe that God has spoken authoritatively through this Divine Book. We think that the Bible is best taught verse by verse for a complete and thorough explanation of what God desires for us to know.
-
We believe that teenagers deserve leaders of integrity to model their lives after. Therefore the leaders that we place before our students will model lives of integrity according to 1 Tim 4:12. Each leader will be held accountable to the ministry covenant. A no tolerance policy is in place for the physical and emotional safety of the student.
-
Students will be encouraged to achieve leadership positions within the ministry. We believe that students need the responsibility and challenge that leadership brings. Senior high students will be utilized to reach junior high students while junior high will be given the opportunity to minister to the younger children in our ministry.
-
We think that God desires for students to serve Him as they grow in their faith. Ministry events and mission trips are used for the opportunity to allow students to experience new challenges and overcome obstacles they might not otherwise encounter.
